Modification to instructions regarding Reimbursement of the Cost of Coronary Stents, Rotablator, Single Chamber Pacemaker and Dual Chamber Pacemaker

            In partial modification Para.5 of the Office Memorandum No. S-11011/7/95-CGHS (P), dated 12/6/1996, the undersigned is directed to say that it has now been decided that where a Central Government employee/pensioner is already admitted in Government/private recognized/private hospital for treatment and any of the items mentioned in the Office Memorandum of 12h June, 1996 is recommended for implantation, he/she may not be asked to furnish three quotations for purchase of the same.  The beneficiary may be reimbursed the cost at the maximum ceiling rate fixed in the Office Memorandum of 12h June, 1996 or the actual cost, whichever is less.

2.  These orders will also be applicable to the beneficiaries covered under CS (MA) Rules, 1944.

3.  This issues with the concurrence of JS(FA) vide by Dy. No. 3215/JS (FA)/97, dated 2/6/1997.
